At the heart of the band are Debbie and Mike Sierras, a married couple who have been performing together across Southern California for more than 30 years. Their enduring partnership makes this tribute especially meaningful. Founded in 2015, We Belong began captivating audiences in 2016, quickly earning a reputation as one of the most faithful tributes to Benatar and Giraldo.
In 2017, drummer Mike Higbie joined the lineup, becoming the band’s longest‑serving member. His electrifying performances pay homage to original Benatar drummer Myron Grombacher, complete with a custom kit modeled after Myron’s legendary 1980s setup. Rounding out the band are bassist Sammy Burke and keyboardist Christi Fisher—both fixtures in the Southern California music scene—who bring depth and authenticity to every show. Together, they form the most genuine tribute to Pat and Neil’s legacy.
With the blessing of Pat and Neil themselves, Debbie and Mike lead We Belong in captivating audiences across the West Coast and beyond. Their performances echo the same chemistry and loving glances that Pat and “Spyder” share on stage.

Debbie and Mike played together for the first time in 1989 when Debbie sat in with Mike's band, Final Approach, singing Hit Me with Your Best Shot. They soon decided to start their own band and on New Year's eve 1990 they officially launched their cover band Bottomline with whom they still perform with to this day. They tied the knot on November 7th 1992 and have since raised 3 kids. They learned early on that Debbie had a knack for singing the blues and played nearly half of Pat and Neil's blues Album True Love not knowing it would help set the stage for them to start a tribute to Pat and Neil. They later added All Fired Up and Heartbreaker to Bottomline's repertoire furthering their backlog of Benatar songs which proved helpful in getting We Belong off the ground.
With Bottomline Debbie and Mike have performed throughout San Diego at some of the hottest clubs and casinos such as Harrah's Rincon, Viejas Casino, The Belly Up Tavern, Sea World, Park Place, The Bacchanal, and 100.7 Star Radio to name a few. For years they were booked solid in the club rotation between Carlsbad, Escondido, and Poway playing 2 and 3 nights a week cementing their on stage relationship.
In April of 2015 Mike surprised Debbie with tickets to see Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo on her birthday and after watching the show the idea came to them to start a tribute to Pat and Neil. "It was like looking in a mirror" they said as they watched Pat and Neil banter back and forth on stage and the "love looks" between the two were so familiar. Two month later with the help of their local musician friends We Belong was born and the rest as they say is history.
